Anya Hindmarch 'I Am A Plastic Bag Motif' Tote Is Made of Plastic Bottles

In 2007, Anya Hindmarch did a “I’m Not a Plastic Bag” project to help reduce plastic waste, unfortunately, the single use plastic problem is far from solved. Therefore, she has started a new mission, changing from awareness of the problem to circularity of materials with “I am A Plastic Bag” Project.

With more than 8 billion tons of plastic waste on the planet, here’s a small step to help reduce the waste by reusing plastic bottles to create an attractive and luxurious bag. Each bag is made from cotton canvas-feel fabric that’s created from 32 half liter recycled plastic bottles then coated with recycled windscreens. This generously sized “I am A Plastic Bag” tote bag is durable and comes with weather resistant finish. Featuring AH monogram, it is also finished in leather from a Gold Standard Working Group Tannery to ensure its full traceability of byproduct skins without deforestation. Seriously, this project has a zero carbon footprint.
